Our Story

Getting to Know Chapel of the Hills

Chapel of the Hills Baptist Church was founded in 1967 along Highway 29 in Buchanan Dam, Texas, in the heart of the Texas Hill Country. We are a New Testament church with a long history of vibrant life and service.

In recent years, the church has experienced steady growth in attendance and enthusiasm. Families, children, youth, college students, single adults, young marrieds, and senior adults are all part of a strong, caring, and joyful congregation.

The church provides a broad range of ministries to both members and the community.

Sunday Mornings

  • Bible Study – 9:30 AM
    (classes for all ages)
  • Worship Service – 10:45 AM (blended service; also available on Facebook)

Sunday Evenings

Pastor-Led Bible Study – 6:00 PM A time to dig deeper into God’s Word.

Midweek Reset (Wednesdays)

5:15 PM – Family Meal

6:00 PM – Breakout Sessions:
  • Prayer Gathering
  • Adult Bible Studies
  • KidZ Choir
  • Youth Bible Study & Activities
